QMN TRAINING WORKSITE

NUCLEAR QUALITY MAINTENANCE TRAINING WORKSITE FOR NORTHEAST SECTOR NPPS

Training for the realities of the nuclear field: a unique training worksite in Amnéville

With other subcontractors in the nuclear industry who are also members of GIM East, we’ve created a training platform for our employees that reproduces key worksites in nuclear power plants and their working conditions, as faithfully as possible.

OBJECTIVES

Provide a training approach that is suitable and adaptable, that meets the performance needs of EDF and other companies, through objectives such as:

Guiding a new arrival on a nuclear site

By training them to prepare and carry out work according to the various requirements and rules in force on an EDF site.

By providing practical experience through work scenarios in a nuclear environment.

Considering the priorities of East Sector NPPs and the DPN (Nuclear Generation Division)

By making workers aware of the current issues faced by sites in the East Sector (Commitment charter for technical inspection, FME and operational reliability risk, etc.) and issues faced by EDF’s fleet nationwide (maintenance non-quality, 5 life saving rules, Technical Note 85/114, etc.).

Making progress while controlling activity and co-activity risks

By training workers in practical scenarios that are created based on national OPEX from maintenance non-qualities, specifically requested by GIM East member companies, or adapted to plan for operations scheduled in the future.

Installation of signs and barriers for radiographic inspections on certain worksites in addition to awareness training on the life saving rules.

Everest approach
Possibility of creating conditions to simulate work in Everest conditions (access in standard work overalls).
